Absolute Appointments Team
 
Absolute Appointments was established in 1999 and incorporates Absolute Graduates and Absolute Experience for candidates both starting their careers within the Media Sales industry and those with a proven track record.

Simon Essex. Director
Simon began his Media Sales career at Haymarket Publishing working across a broad portfolio of business titles and into management by the end of his three and a half years there. Simon was then approached to consider a move into recruitment. He subsequently spent another three years working for a leading consultancy, specialising in placing graduates into their first Media Sales position, before branching out on his own to set up Absolute Appointments in 1999.

Claire Blizard. Director
Claire joined forces with Simon in August 2003 having spent over ten years within the media sales industry. A long career at IPC Media saw Claire work across both the display and classified functions before spending many successful years as Head of Classified Sales where she managed many market leading titles. Claire also now heads our experienced division, which has grown from strength-to-strength since its launch in 2001, and deals with placing candidates with previous experience and performing search and selection.

Jenni Cook. Office Manager & Recruitment Coordinator

Since its launch Absolute have become key recruiters for many major business-to-business and consumer publishing houses, which also include national press. We enjoy high retention figures and the knowledge of numerous satisfied candidates and clients alike.

Unlike larger media sales recruitment consultancies, at Absolute our candidates and clients alike actually get to deal with professionals who have worked extensively in the industry. Additionally, the same professional consultants also undertake all interviewing and selection of candidates.
