The Role of Project Director

• Oversee the planning and organisation of the contracted events.

• Work closely with the Head of Business Development to strengthen the company’s market position in order to bid on and win an increasing number of future contracted events.

Key accountabilities for the role of Project Director

• Manage the contracted event fulfilment team to deliver quality events for the clients.

• Create a project plan for each event and ensure appropriate staffing levels and quality.

• Create and maintain budgets for each event, keeping event costs and overheads within agreed parameters.

• Co-ordinate resources in London and local offices to achieve the most efficient operation possible.

• Oversee, and where necessary conduct, negotiations with suppliers to achieve optimum value on products and services.

• Be the primary contact with the clients and maintain excellent communication channels.

• Constantly look for creative solutions to deliver world class events and thereby enhance the reputation of the business as a leading event organiser.

• Challenge existing methodologies in the quest for constant improvement.

• Help the Head of Business Development identify, research and develop new events in core markets and, where necessary, accompany them on ‘pitches’ for future events.

• Develop excellent working relationships with the other divisions within the company.

Knowledge • How to put on a world classs event • Oil and Gas markets would be a bonus

Experience • Event planning and production • Overseas markets a plus

Personal • Willing to travel abroad.
