 As the Head of Planning you will lead and manage the creative solutions pitch process, running a team of Creative Planning Managers and partnering with Account Managers.

 

You will utilise the skills and experience of internal experts and external suppliers that are most capable and relevant to each clients brief in order to create inspiring, innovative and pitch winning solutions. You will maintain a commerical perspective on the proposition being put forward to the client; ensuring that the client receives outstanding cross media solutions and that you are maximising our client's revenue potential.

 

You will need a good understanding of developments in new technologies and how our client can best leverage them to provide a seamless client and consumer experience.

 

You will not be afraid to push boundaries to develop award winning creative solutions, ensuring that our client stands out from its competitors.

 

Deliverables:

 

  • Development of the Creative Planning team, managing their outputs
  • Client satisfaction, maintenance of brand ingenuity
  • Maintaining pitch conversion rate
  • Maintain a healthy pipeline across all current, emerging and future platforms
  • External client audit
  • Reporting across all revenue streams on a regular basis via salesforce
  • Monitor and maintain brief rate across agency patches
  • Regular meetings with Planning Director level across agencies

Revenue and Costs

  • Generate and manage leads, pitches and campaigns to deliver the greatest long term value for Metro
  • Oversee inventory and capacity management , prioritising allocation of resources accordingly
  •  Actively pitch cross media solutions to agencies 
  • Maintain high levels of communications with agency groups
  • Ensure that agencies / clients are constantly up to date with changes to the portfolio

Industry

  • Manage senior agency / client relationships
  • Increase use of direct client pitches to better communicate the product offering

People

  • Manage Creative Planning Managers, PR / Sponsorship Manager and Sales Administrative Assistant with secondary responsibility for Agency Group Leads
  • Coordinate best practice sharing across teams

 

Key Competencies:

 

  • Ability to present to multiple audiences including executive level, clients
  • Strong people management skills, the ability to coach and mentor a team is invaluable to the role
  • Hunger for knowledge with a finger on the pulse of developments within the media industry
  • Ability to use knowledge and insight to plan campains across all channels
  • Aptitude to think on a strategic level but keep a close eye on detail
  • Confident with the ability to build and nurture relationships internally and externally

Key Requirements:

 

  • You will have previously worked within a strategic planning or planning role
  • Strategic implementation of creative campaigns
  • Experience of a brand creative development role
  • Worked successfully across multiple platforms

Qualifications:

 

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
