We have an exciting opportunity for a Media Sales Executive to join our Marketing team based in High Wycombe.

The Perfume Shop is known for its dynamic and progressive nature within the health and beauty industry. Trading since 1992, the Company’s acquisition in 2005 by the world’s largest health and beauty retailer, the A.S. Watson group, has increased our prominence in the beauty industry in the retail sector.

The purpose of this role is to use your commercial and business acumen to identify and sell potential marketing opportunities to generate additional revenue for our business. This will be in line with the key aims of building customer engagement and satisfaction in line with our brand identity.

Key duties include:

•           Present and sell advertising opportunities to our suppliers to generate additional revenue for our business e.g. online, loyalty card and in store marketing as well as other media.

•           Responsible for the end to end process - from identifying the opportunity to closing the sales through to invoicing and liaising with all relevant departments during the pre-sale and after sale process.

•           Responsible for strategically developing all business opportunities through regular face to face meetings and networking.

•           Logging and following up on all calls/meetings on the in-house database.

•           Regular supplier visits, primarily within the London area will be required.

•           Achieving individual sales targets as well as working towards a group sales target.

•           Continually reviewing sales process and procedures.

Knowledge, skills and experience required:

•           Previous experience of having worked within a role with the responsibility of building and managing client relationships and negotiating with key suppliers is essential. B2B sales experience would be an advantage.

•           Experience of having managed your own budgets.

•           Intermediate to advance knowledge in Excel and other MS Office functions Demonstrable high level communication and literacy skills are essential.

•           A full UK driving license is essential.

Person Specification:

This role would suit an individual with a commercial mentality who is both innovative and a creative self starter. They will have a personable approach together with being highly articulate in all aspects of communications, with the ability to liaise at all levels within the business. Excellent negotiation, organisation, numeracy and planning skills are a must for this role, together with a good understanding of Retail advertising, marketing and brand awareness.
