Commercial Director - Business Manager
Our client is a market leading B2B information provider and conference organiser in the international IT market. Rapidly expanding, an opportunity has arisen for a talented commercial manager with a background in IT to take control of their conference activity in the UK and France. The role will encompass researching events, schedule building, sponsorship sales, delegate acquisition and the operational delivery of the event. There are also huge opportunities to develop additional revenue streams, for example from online advertising sales and white paper downloads.
A background in high level IT media is essential and, given that you will be managing a team of six to eight conference specialists, previous experience of managing large conference events is strongly preferred. You will need to demonstrate a significant track record of success in selling big ticket, complex sponsorship packages. Business level French language skills, whilst desirable, are not essential.
