Agency Sales - Consumer Magazine Publisher

This is a key role for a major consumer publisher
working across high profile weekly titles including some of the foremost women’s
glossy gossip and fashion titles.
The candidate sought will have experience in media sales (ideally consumer magazines ) preferably with strong agency sales experience / contacts.
The role is for a Trading Executive or SeniorTrading Executive depending on experience (1 – 2 years experience at least)
The ideal candidate will
- Have excellent West End agency
contacts. - Have a passion for magazines
- Be proficient in Telmar, Ad
dynamix etc - Be an excellent negotiator
- Be able to demonstrate an
understanding of selling digital and tablets (even if it hasn’t been a core
part of your role)
A trader role is perfect for a tough negotiator who is not scared to push the
boundaries. You must be able to leave no stone unturned to ensure revenue is
maximised. You will be full of energy, target focused & always want to be
closing. Constantly striving to improve revenue and share position, you will be
a sales person who loves to sell. Key to the role is servicing the procurement
and buying teams of a portfolio of huge W.End agencies for both print and
digital offerings. This role is all about creating strong agency relationships
to create growth opportunities.
Function and day to day duties:
Daily contact with print and digital buyers
Maximise sales of your brands through upselling and cross selling
Create incremental revenue opportunities
Ensure delivery of the agency charter
Create stronger agency relationships
Skills
Agency sales experience
Proven negotiation skills
Numerate
Excellent Telmar skills
Strong knowledge of the market both press and digital – ideally within a consumer
framework
