With a strong team of 12 selling across classified, e-mail, inserts, international, print, digital, tablet and mobile, The Week UK is a growing multi-platform proposition. Recently awarded consumer magazine of the year and digital edition of the year 2012 The Week now seeks to develop its online presence within the digital marketplace. Continuing the growth and success already experienced since its launch last year, and with several new launches planned for 2013, The Week is an exciting place to be for an enthusiastic, forward-thinking digital salesperson.
Selling to a large patch of West End agencies across all market segments, you will be aiding the Advertising Manager to ensure monthly and annual budgets are met. The role will require creative selling across the latest ad formats, as well as editorial integrations and cross media solutions. You will need to be able to sell to all levels at leading media agencies and be confident proposing ideas for both website and tablet. A proven track record of growing agency relationships and winning new business will be essential as this role requires pro-active cross-media selling.
Joining The Week sales team you will be responsible for maximising digital revenue streams, developing existing relationships and establishing new contacts within key West End agencies.
Essential to the role:
- Working knowledge of all the latest online ad formats
- Minimum of 18 months online media sales experience
- Understanding of UK current affairs media
Preferred attributes should include:
- Strong presentation style
- Proven track record of winning new business
- Proven skills of writing and packaging digital proposals
- Strong agency contacts
- A flair for creative online solutions
- Strong campaign management experience (specifically; ad serving, delivery and reporting)
- An understanding of selling tablet and mobile platforms and advantage
- Exceptional organisational skills
