The role

You will be planning manager for one of this media agency's most important clients - an automotive client. This agency has been their key strategic partner for over 12 years, a period during which they have delivered some of the most memorable and effective communications ever seen within the automotive category. Promotion to Associate Director would be achievable for right candidate, so someone who is career motivated is essential. You responsibilities will include:

*Building a relationship with and becoming the main point of contact for your client's UK Communications Managers
*Leading the media strategy, oversee the implementation, and own the media plan for a range of your client's products and projects
*Being passionate and interested in both the media industry and automotive category, and have a desire to test and learn new things
*Managing and developing the Planning Executives within the team

Your profile

You will be expected to hold an informed opinion on brand strategies, and be able to articulate clearly the role communications have to play in delivering them. You will:
- have the ability to write a strategy paper with the relevant input from other team members
-Foster good relationship and integration with the other agencies and ensure that plans and ideas are integrated and answering the brief in the best way
- Be analytical and have great attention to detail. The client has a fantastic amount of research and insight so it's important to be able to use this wisely and feed it in when necessary
- Senior client contact is frequent so you will need to be able to deal with both senior and junior clients
- Previous Automotive experience is desirable but not essential
- Promotion to Associate Director would be achievable for right candidate, so someone who is career motivated is essential
