About the role

  • Ink, is looking to hire an English speaking Editor for a new magazine launch. Applicants must have an excellent knowledge of Scandinavia and ideally (though not essential) be fluent in both Norwegian and English. 
  • You should also have at least three years experience at editor level on a travel/lifestyle/leisure title. Digital and social media experience is a plus. The position is based in London 

About you

  • The successful candidate must have a very strong editorial background, with experience in newsstand titles. The position is client-facing so you must be articulate and persuasive. It is also necessary you have an understanding of publishing commercials. 
  • Taking complete control of the magazine, from managing the team, to ensuring that the title hits new creative boundaries
  • Ensuring that the magazine is not only on-brand but works hard for the airline in terms of marketing and commercial objectives.
  • Constant monitoring of European focused newspapers, magazines, websites and blogs to keep abreast of what’s going on in the relevant destinations.
  • Cultivating a body of freelance writers and photographers, and maintaining regular contact in order to solicit ideas for content for the magazine.
