With a client base that includes over 50 of some of the biggest agency names in London (spanning Digital, Creative, Marketing, Advertising) our client helps them win new business by getting them in front of the right potential clients, at the right time. Working on 2-4 non-conflicting agencies you will work to an agreed sales and marketing plan providing essential business development / prospecting input in order to generate high quality meeting opportunities.
Once you have completed your induction to the Agencies you will represent, you will be a key part of the team executing the new-business plan. Your role will be to pick up the phone and start building relationships with marketing people at major brands. Your job is to convince them of the merits of meeting up with your Agency, with a view to hopefully doing business.
With plenty of space to use your own initiative, spot opportunities, and suggest new angles to get in front of prospective clients. You won’t be left on your own, as you’ll be working in a team alongside experienced professionals and the senior management team.
To qualify... We are seeking a Business Development Manager / Sales Professional who is sociable, opinionated, articulate, intelligent, relentless, enthusiastic and who enjoys a good laugh. In other words, you should...
- Have the confidence and personality to work closely with your clients (i.e. Top creative agencies).
- Be able to show previous success in generating sales leads for marketing services Agencies, or professional services businesses (maybe recruitment, sports marketing or something similar).
- Be highly literate and articulate.
- Be passionate about marketing (this is essential).
- Be educated to degree level (or equivalent).
In summary you will be an ambitious, entrepreneurial and high calibre Business Development Manager who will play a pivotal role in the continual growth of established high profile creative agency clients.
Based in the heart of adland, in W1, you will join a community of passionate sales people working mainly in W1, however, you will spend some time working out of the office onsite at the agencies you are working on behalf of.
