Sales Manager/Group Manager

Great opportunity to join a successful terrestrial channel who are currently recruiting for a group manager with 3 years experience within TV.
Group Managers are responsible for the delivery of negotiated deals by closely monitoring the delivered positions. TThe role involves managing the people who administer the airtime to ensure that contracts are delivered in line with the agreed parameters.
The role also will involve revenue generation by selling and negotiating
shorter term deals often working in the late market. The knowledge they hold of
advertisers’ campaigns will be invaluable when selling through creative
opportunities across the portfolio.
Key Accountabilities:
Oversee campaigns and deal delivery for a designated portfolio, ensuring agency deals are met and campaigns run smoothly.
Manage, motivate, develop and appraise a team of Sales Executives and their Assistants.
Accurately forecast Expenditure using knowledge of advanced bookings and your portfolio’s business and market information.
Promote the Channel brands to media buyers,planners and clients.
Build customer relationships and develop a thorough knowledge of advertisers’ businesses and activity.
Pitch for and negotiate pieces of business and/orseek to improve existing deals by securing additional revenues.
Maximise revenue at all times through late selling cross media opportunities.
Negotiation of penalties for campaign cancellations and amendments.
Work with specialists to secure the sale of partnerships including sponsorship, online, print and bespoke spot.
Proactively work to improve work processes within the department and group.
Experience & Knowledge:
Must have worked in Television Advertising Sales for a minimum of 2-3 years performing a similar role.
