Heads-Up. We are looking to talk to candidates with account management experience in a publishing or marketing services agency. 

Experience of magazine publishing, digital media and content marketing is also required.

The Client Services Account Manager Opportunity:

We are a niche, forward thinking publishing and content marketing agency looking to hire a Client Services Account Manager.

Our agency offers a comprehensive range of editorial, marketing, design, digital and advertising sales services and is focused on delivering high quality, creative customer media for organisations and brands to create a dialogue and engage with customers. 

We have an excellent track record of working for well-known companies, brands membership bodies and trade associations and our expertise spans across a number of B2B and B2C markets such as health, education, business, travel and leisure. 

We are now looking to bolster our client management and new business capability and we're looking to recruit a Client Services Account Manager to manage client publishing accounts and to support and develop new business activities. 

Reporting to the Managing Director your role will be split between client publishing and project management, developing new business opportunities and general agency operations.

As a small agency you will have a very ‘hands on’ role across all of these key areas of the business.

Career progression to Client Services Director level is achievable within 6-12 months with the possibility of receiving share options and a stake in the company depending on performance. The Client Services Account Manager Role Summary:

> Ensure the delivery of projects on brief and to the client’s satisfaction within budget and on time.

> Manage key client relationships, attend client meetings, develop and cross sell agency services

> Ensure projects are efficiently resourced with editorial, design, marketing and technology capabilities

> Communicate client requirements to the content development team 

> Manage and coordinate agency publishing, client project workflow and external agency suppliers or partners

> Produce detailed client proposals and status reports

> Work with senior colleagues to prepare pitches and tenders 

> Write proposals and presentations 

> Attend new business pitches 

> Provide input as required to post pitch negotiations 

Skills & Expertise: 

> Graduate calibre or equivalent

> Account management experience in a publishing or marketing services agency

> Experience of magazine publishing, digital media and content marketing

> Excellent client service skills

> Excellent project management skills

> High level of experience and success in selling marketing solutions to senior decision makers

> Commercially aware and able to credibly discuss a client's business issues at a senior level

> Experienced in writing compelling proposals and detailed reports

> Strong presentation skills

> Proven track record of business development

> Understanding of key disciplines within publishing agencies
