About the Company:
They are a leading transport media company They have a high calibre of staff and are committed to providing the best (transport) advertising solutions for clients. In keeping with the company’s ethos of constant innovation they is launching brand new network wide mobile platform across the first half of 2013 - a mobile enabled platform that allows advertisers to communicate information with commuters via their mobile phone or mobile device. Commuters will either tap or scan to directly access the website, or text to receive a link to the website. They will then be able to access all of the latest and regularly updated offers, information and content.

About the Role:
Initially a telephone based sales role but with the possibility of extending to face to face after launch phase
To understand the core business objectives of the company’s business and how these impact on day-to-day business
To understand the company’s current formats and marketplace, to learn about media, OOH, m-commerce and affiliate marketing
To identify new clients and establish relationships to maximise revenue
Minimum of 25 outbound and effective sales calls per day to identified leads
To liaise with the existing sales team to share information, best practice and coordinate efforts to drive revenue and meet/exceed pre-agreed targets
To work with the Direct Sales Group Head to develop new business in the market in general
To develop strategies, presentations, pitches in order to secure meeting and revenue targets
To account manage business in order to secure repeat business
Ensuring campaigns are communicated internally and delivered successfully
To use time effectively and be a good team player

Skills Required:
Sales experience (preferably in a media sales environment)
Proven negotiation & presentation skills
Proven record of achieving revenue targets and generating new business
Strong work ethic: Self-motivated and driven
Can show and take the initiative
Experience of working with clients direct and managing a large database of clients and contacts
Not afraid of the phone: evidence of cold-pitching & cold-calling
Highly organised with the ability to work under pressure & show attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Professional approach
Proactive and innovative: willing to take on a challenge and learn
Articulate and self-confident with strong personal communication skills
Strong IT skills: PowerPoint, excel, the ability to learn industry databases such as TGI, Genesis, POSTAR, and to manipulate internal databases
