The Field Senior Account Manager Opportunity:
We are currently recruiting for a Senior Education Account Manager within our Education Sales department. Reporting in to the Education Sales Manager, UK and Ireland, the purpose of this position will be to achieve and exceed annual sales targets for all our Education products and services.
This position will be responsible for visiting universities, ensuring the relevant product is promoted, adopters serviced and strategic relationships built. Where appropriate, Bookshops will need to be actively serviced to ensure a smooth supply chain. The successful candidate will be expected to be able to identify, understand and develop business opportunities to ensure growth within their territory. They must also be comfortable and confident in discussing institutional needs and requirements and presenting a wide range of educational products and services to a variety of stakeholders.

Field Senior Account Manager Selection Criteria:
> Proven experience in growing territory, meeting sales targets and objectives
> Exceptional communication skills both in terms of information flow to customers, pitches to customer groups and in keeping your colleagues informed about developments in their territory
> Previous experience in the academic/educational publishing industry or the education sector is essential.
> Competent and efficient in Microsoft Office including Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel is essential
> Able to prioritise effectively in relation to the business potential of current and new customers
> Ability to work independently with minimal guidance on achieving goals
> Ability to analyse relevant details and make timely decisions, sometimes with incomplete information and under time pressure
> Must have the ability to self-motivate.

> The territory for this position will be from the Midlands to the North of England. Initial Travel to Chichester is required.
> This position will require significant travel within the UK to fully cover territory including nights away from home and possible weekend travel. The successful candidate will also be required to attend periodic sales conferences per year in the UK and aboard.
