COMMS PLANNING BUSINESS DIRECTOR - SUBLIME BRANDS!
This role has two core facets. Firstly you will be responsible for the media planning output of a group of award winning brands across the beverage, aviation and FMCG sectors. Secondly, you will play a key role in developing the agency's planning philosophies and output.
This is a very senior role within the agency. You will be reporting into the Head of Planning and be part of a 6 strong team at Planning Director level. The accounts you will be working on are truly first class. They are big spenders and very creative in the use of media. The agency also advocates freshness in its approach and therefore gives its staff the opportunity to work across different client groups over time so that you will keep on developing and driving the agency forward.
From a development standpoint I think this role offers a huge amount. It allows you to work on some hugely impressive accounts but the agency also has big plans for the future in terms of its view on planning. The head of Planning understands that the convergence of media is something that is hugely important and that integration across all media channels must be a focus for any agency. The use of data and technology is pushing forward the boundaries of planning and my client is keen for the agency to be at the forefront of this.

My client is quite open to the background of the candidate. You could come from a traditional Comms Planning background or from a data or digital background. My client is looking for someone who understands the comms planning process, someone who has the ability to understand a clients business needs, get under the skin of consumers and how they use media and someone who looks at the media ecosystem as a whole. Someone who understands how a media campaign will impact all areas of the client's business.
As well as the above you must have these core skills and experience:
- Strong cross media planning skills;
- Great account management skills - able to develop strong client relationships;
- Ability to juggle multiple agency, client and team relationships
- Excellent client servicing skills
- Leadership and influence at all levels
- Strong strategic planning capabilities
- Strong communication and ability to hold a room in all situations
