Commercial Manager - Product Development
This is an unusual opportunity to be the commercial leader of a launch project on behalf of a market leading B2B brand and to develop a digital business from the security of an established and growing B2B media company. Our client is a three year old, privately owned B2B publishing company that has grown rapidly through acquisition and launch and is well backed and robustly profitable.
The role, which would suit someone from a large classified background with experience of migrating large classified revenues online, is to launch a major digital classified product on behalf of one of the biggest brands in B2B media.
This is an intelligent, business development role that involves growing relationships with large clients to introduce a new direct sales mechanism. It involves building a consultancy relationship with clients who are relatively new to digital media, building digital solutions to suit their needs and selling advertising, websites and licenses.
The successful candidate will need business acumen in spades, as you will have full responsibility for developing a major revenue and profit line in a large and growing media business. You will have excellent presentation skills and a proven track record in building trusted customer relationships.
An entrepreneurial salesperson, you will be the kind or salesperson who understands and solves the customer's problem, not just sells the product. You will be adept at dealing with senior managers and marketers in large and often international organisations. Above all, you will be eager to get stuck into leading a new launch and will enjoy the buzz of a collaborative yet demanding environment. A thorough understanding of digital classified is essential.
